    Columbia Tandem Bike Question

I have an opportunity to purchase a Columbia tandem bike, made in Westfield Mass, that is about 15 years old for $100. If it is in good shape, is that a reasonable price?

    Thanks,
    Josh

Sure it is a fair price, just realize that it is more of a beach cruiser tandem than any kind of "go-hard" bike.

If it's in good shape, then certainly it's a good price for something to get started. What type of tandem riding do you plan to do? If neighborhood/cruiser riding then there are other inexpensive imported tandem options currently available that you could buy new with heavier stronger frames and newer components for not that much more.
