Tandem on Wash DC Metro rail?

Hey all, anyone with experience riding the Washington DC metro trains with a tandem? The guidelines say tandems are forbidden but I've heard that before on other rail systems where, contrary to stated policy, we were allowed to board with the tandem anyway.

Thanks,

Andy

+1 to only on weekends. And if there is any kind of rush event going on then they probably will deny you.
