Handmade Bicycle Show 2009 - Materials and Jigs

Continuing the other two posts from the NAHBS (North American Handmade Bicycle Show) in Indianapolis, IN: Besides all of the wonderful bikes and their builders, some of the suppliers and jig builders were there as well. Columbus was there (two fellows from Italy) and I enjoyed seeing some raw sets of Columbus Niobium steel since our tandem is made of that tubing. Anvil Jigs was there - here's an image of a wonderful jig. He had smaller jigs for smaller sub assemblies. Henry James was there with tubing and lugs as was Nova Builder's Supply and Paragon Machine Company. Reynolds Tubing was there as well. The programmer of the bike design program Bike Cad was there. There is the free-online-but-less-featured version online but the full version is quite a great package and he now works on it full-time. The six frame builders who have been at the NAHBS each year since it began in 2005 were honored at a presentation. This group includes Craig Calfee (one the left of the photo) and Don Walker, show founder, (second from the right).
