Jack Taylor Headset

I'm finishing up a '77 Jack Taylor touring tandem build. Could someone tell me the headset size? I need a cable hanger for cantilevers. Could someone help me out and point me in the right direction for buying the hanger? Thanks in advance.

Does your bike take a normal (not french) 22.2 mm stem? If so, any hanger for a standard threaded headset should do. I don't think the taylor brothers copied every aspect of the french tandems....but you never know.

Regardless....I bet that is a nice bike.

Ugly, but it should work. Just make sure you don't have a french steerer tube.

Yes, it takes a 22.2 stem, but the steer tube is beefier and a standard 1" hanger is too small. And an 1-1/8" hanger is a bit too big.

Strange and near. You could always use one of the tektro hangers that mounts on the fork crow I guess.

I'm pretty sure this is not some odd proprietary size. And it seems logical that a tandem fork would have a beefier steer tube.
