White Industries tandem hub feedback?

I'm looking for a new tandem hubset and would be interested to get feedback from people using White Industries tandem hubs. They seem fairly light weight and less expensive than Phil Wood and Chris King. I'm curious what their long term durability is like, particularly the rear hub. Are there any other tandem hubs worth considering like DT Swiss, Hadley or Shimano?

We have 2800 mi on our White Ind hubset. I've greased the pawls a couple times and replaced the o-ring for the freehub. During the second re-grease I found one of the pawl springs was bent-possibly my fault-and White sent me a new set and several spare o-rings free. Disassembly/assembly is very easy and only requires a small allen wrench which was supplied by my wheelbuilder (Speeddream). Bearings are still as smooth as when new.

Overall I'm very happy with them!

FWIW we recently got a 3cross 36spoke White/Velocity wheel set with disk rear and found the
disk was too far out to fit with any adjust on our Macchiatto frame. It was about 0.05" further
out than the prior Rolf wheel. The disk mount is integral to the hub and not a screw on adaptor
so the wheel had to be returned, taken down and 0.1" machined off. A spacer then got us to
the right distance. This will be highly susceptible to each frame and most may have no problem.

White build the hubs for Rolf, internals may be the same. So far all is good, 8000m.
