Fortunately, we don't have a mtb tandem. I don't think we're quite ready for 150miles off road.

Gave up the dirt and MX about 18 years ago 'cause the old body stopped bouncing off the ground so well, not to memtion that the trips to the emergency room started to become to frequent with loooonger recovery times. However... if your bones still have some flex in them...go for it while you can!!
