I finally got a tandem - Tonino Lamborghini
Gold cow? No way, i can't afford it =D.
I only can afford this one. I have done a little research about this Lambo. Tonino Lamborghini is son of the Lambo founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. He does many many product design such as watches, power tools(what?), bikes, etc. https://www.lamborghini.it/
Why did i buy this tandem?
I rode a lot, around 6000 miles annually. I have three road bikes and one fixed gear. Before i buy this tandem, i have considered a long time. Should i buy the expensive one around $4000? Since my girlfriend does not ride, so i don't want to buy a expensive one to risk.
Plus, i'm a student and newly immigrant from Macau, now lived in Seattle. so i want to save some money for tuition and pay the loan of my parents' house.
So, ready?
From Amazon.com with two day shipping, $550 only.
Seems fine, no broken, wheels are good.
Microshift integrated shifting lever
My comments: The bike weight approx. 38lbs, satisfied price. Anyway, i don't satisfy those components. But anyway, $550 good for a frame. I will change every components except frame.
For more images..
I have to thanks one person from bikeforum who posted the Lambo pictures before. You gave me the greatest confidence to buy this tandem.
By the way, sorry for the bad images and my bad english.

Nice un-boxing pictures; do post your riding impressions.
Did you measure the weight?

Upgrading components is co$$$tly . . .
While Lambo may have 'designed' the bike, bet it was built in an Oriental sweatshop . . .
Enjoy the ride TWOgether!

It's amazing that you can get a tandem for $550. For that money I would just ride it until something wears out then replace it. It may surprise you by lasting longer than you thought. For gentle riding round the neighbourhood, riding down to the shops and having fun rather than 100 mile rides through the mountains I think it's a great buy.

Congrats on the new tandem....Just tune it well, get the fit dailed in then ride the heck out of it. Don't worry about upgrades for now as your perspective will probably change as you put on more miles ...just ride it and get your stoker smiling!

Our policy has been: buy the best you can afford.
Ride what you've got; if it wears out/breaks, then replace/upgrade.
Too many pricey bikes/tandems gathering dust in garages!
Enjoy the ride TWOgether!

Not sure I'd be too eager to knock these bikes, or relegate them to around-the-park-only duty; saw a couple on the Seattle to Portland ride on one, doing the one-day 202 mile thing.
Perhaps they'd gone over it with a fine tooth comb, mechanically. They were definitely having fun.
I'm sure I didn't see all of the tandems that were there, but the majority I noticed were built up here in the Northwest: Ericksons, Co-Motion, Burley; about 4 of each, and one Santana.

The front seatpost is 27.1, rear is 25. sth; I dunno what is the name of that BB, but it's same as the vintage bike one.
So, if i want to change the BB, which one is fit to the bike?

Yes, agree.
I've been riding my road bike 5 years until the bike does not fit my height anymore =D.
I love only one bike, no matter how heavy.
Anyway, i have so many questions about tandem bike. Since the structure is little different from roadbike.
So if i want to get tandem parts, any website is recommended ?
