I'm out of control

So you possibly opened this fearing I was going to crash.

Well this post is about the ride and stoker comfort.

We have two tandems, a road tandem and an MTB. The Cannondale MTB was the first tandem we bought. While the wife enjoys it, the small sized stoker compartment has us dealing with some fit compromises.

So why am I out of control, I bought another tandem MTB. I wanted to purchase a Ventana ECDM from Alex at MTB Tandems in Georgia, but play money was not there currently. So I picked up a 2001 Cannondale with a medium stoker compartment.

Myself I am hoping the captains quarters are size large, but they may be an XL. Guess I find out when it arrives.

So why am I out of control. This is the fourth tandem we've bought within a year and a half. I wonder if I'm addicted to tandems?

Nothing wrong with having 4 tandems, especially if you ride them all!!!

It's not quite as bad as it sounds.

Currently we have two tandems, one road and one MTB.

Earlier this year we had two road tandems plus the MTB tandem. Our first road tandem was too small for the stoker, we lucked out and found a used road tandem we both fit well and are very comfortable riding.

The first road tandem was sold shortly after we knew the current road tandem was for us.

Now the same is happening with the MTB tandem. The current MTB tandem fits me fine but is a bit small for the stoker. Rolled the dice again after finding a low mileage Cannondale MTB tandem on ebay for a good price. Did the BIN, and it should arrive tomorrow.

This newer Cannondale will hopefully replace the other smaller one. If it does the smaller gets sold. Unless the stoker has become sentimental to her first tandem.

Goal is to be back to two, one road, one MTB. Just looking back it seems a bit out of control.
