It finally happened!

Wife and I out enjoying a 61 mile group fundraiser on a fairly flat route when a fellow on a df pulled up along side and admitted being somewhat "peeved" the first time we passed him. Apparently he had the pleasure of seeing us blow by him a couple times.

I told him that once we get the bike rolling on the flats we can cruise in the neighborhood of 21-22mph and when we hit the downhills we're up to 40-45 range.

I would have loved to chat with him a little longer but we hit another downhill and the bike took off on us. I never saw him again.

We ran into fellow tandemers on the road but they experienced a sidewall rupture on one of their tires and were not able to complete the ride.
