hasebike touring tandem ridden by german couple

Here http://share.ovi.com/media/currentre...resident.10103 is a tandem seen in wickenburg arizona. It was ridden by a german couple they looked tird so I didn't pester them. It had http://hasebikes.com on the crank tube and a adventure cycling sticker. The back wheel looked like an internal gear hub with a generator but I couldn't make out the brand. Sorry about the photo my camera has a lens scratch.

Its easier to just post the pic.

It looks like they could have profited from spending a little time at the Backpacking Light forum.

Here's what a Pino tandem looks like without all that gear on it.
Looks they are loaded for a 'round the world asventure! Many Euros seem to overpack a bit.
The internal hub on the Pino was likely a German 14-speed set-up.

P.S. the brand name for the 14 speed German internal hub is Rohloff.
Have seen a couple Pinos at Interbike; similar to the American-built Counterpoint.
