Independent coasting

Due to an accident which broke both of my elbows, Mrs. Grouch and I are seriously considering replacing our Santana Noventa with a recumbent. One of the options is independent coasting. That sounds interesting to me, especially on a recumbent.

I'm interested in first hand comments whether favorable or not.

RG, I am reading "Coast to Coast on the Big O" by Larry Newlin, a book that I have recently bought from Angletech. Larry and his wife have completed a cross-country trip on a Rans Seavo with independent coasting. If you can get in touch with them, I'm sure you would get some great feed back about the system. (Maybe Kelvin at Angletech can give you a contact.) Mike

Cool! I'll get the book. Thanks for the tip.
