Can anyone help ID my tandem frame?
I just picked up (for free) my first tandem bike, and have some questions as to what it might be. It is a steel lugged frame with a decal that reads "custom made" with a hand behind the logo. It has Sakae randnner bars front and rear, suntour barcons, suntour cyclone rear derailler and an SR front stem. I believe that the front wheel is an old steel 27" Araya rim with an unlabeled hub, the rear is a 145mm suzue 48 hole with a dark anodized alloy rim. The cranksets are TA cyclotouriste triple. It has Mafac cantis and an Arai drum brake. It is gents front and mixte rear set up. It has a front eccentric bottom bracket. I cannot find any stamped serial numbers on the frame, and the only other marking on it is a Chapel Hill, NC bike registration sticker on the rear seat tube from 1978. If it helps at all, it has a fully chromed lugged fork with high rack mount eyelets. I believe that's all the identifying markers for this frame. I don't know what kind of tubing it is, but is fairly light, weight approximately what my old Schwinn Varsity weighs. I will post picks when I find my camera. I appreciate any help anyone can give.
