Lever for disc auxiliary or remove the Vbrake?

What sort of lever do you recommend for an enduro bike disc? The bike has V brakes.
It is a Santana Fusion with mountain bars.
What if I convert to drop bars?

Thinking of a lever on the right that could be used in conjunction with the mountain lever.
or
What about using the current rear brake lever for the disc and removing the V brake?
