cheap intercom system
I was wanting to use a long range walkie talkie system as an intecom. Something similar to the one here https://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...?a=735527&pn=1. I thought with the voice activated on and a cheap headset I would be well under 50 bucks for the system. It also would allow me to talk to other team members and our support vehicle during Ragbrai. Has anyone tried using something like this and what were the results.

We tried one of those wireless communicators sold at motorcycle shops. Very expensive, and wound up taking them back due to my inability to convert them to a bicycle helmet. They were just too bulky and expensive. Looked great for a full coverage motorcycle helmet.
We are using the tandem.com at $130. They are crappy for the price, but they work.
Good luck.
An inline on/off button would be nice to be able to talk to other riders, your support, etc without getting it in the headset also.
