1996 Burley Samba
I am looking at a used tandem, but have a few questions first. Does anybody know if the 1996 Burley Samba has the open frame or the extra support bar? I found it on bikepedia but there is no picture. Also, assuming it fits, is $200 a reasonable price for it, taking into account that it has 26" wheels, and needs some new components? I know the wheels and frame are in ok shape, but I don't know to what extent the other components will need replaced.

Thanks for the answer. I ended up getting it for a little less needing new tires, front derailleur, tubes and chains. I have one question about servicing it though. How is the rear bottom bracket removed from one of these? I removed both of the spring clips (one on each side) and the bolt holding the cable guide on the bottom, but it still doesn't move. Any advice?

Never mind. I found out how to do it, but I think I will leave it alone until it needs servicing because the bearings are pressed in and will have to be pounded out.
