Tandem racing in New Mexico?
My daughter (8) has been riding as my stoker for 6 months now and wants to do a race. Anyone know where we might find something in NM?

I haven't heard of anything in this part of the country. If you find information, my wife and I may be interested too.

Check out www.usacycling.org and search for local races. Many of the time trials have a tandem category. Usually, there are local unsanctioned practice time trials that will allow tandems to race. Finally, there is the state / district TT championships which always have a tandem division by age.

And if you feel like making a trip, you could do the Co-Motion Classic Tandem stage race in Oregon. The C division usually has a number of teams with younger child stokers.

I read recently (probably on TandemGeek's blog) that the Co-Motion Classic in Oregon wouldn't be happening this year, but that they may be planning some other type of event instead.
