Anyone using a Fizik Cyrano captain post? If so, what stoker stem are you using?

I'm using a Fizik Cyrano for the captain post. Try as I might I can't get the adjustable Control Tech stoker stem with shim to fit. I widened the shim about 1/32" and the shim itself barely fits (very snugly), but once I wedge the shim inside the stem's clamp interface, it shrinks just a tad--to the point i can't get the Cyrano post in there more than 2".

I've tried tapping in with rubber mallet, lining all surfaces w/grease, etc. No go. Either the Cyrano is spot-on 27.2 (like a Thompson, which are amazingly accurate diameter) and the stem w/shim is off, or vice versa. I don't have calipers to measure hence the guessing.

Thanks for any tips.

Nevermind, got it sorted. Stem and shim was culprit, but i got creative...

Still would appreciate any stem brand suggestion if you run similar setup.
