Help Rachael Scdoris get to the USA Cycling Paralympics National Championships!
Paralympic Games hopeful Rachel Scdoris stoking for her pilot, Lisa Turnbull, during a recent training ride on their new Co-Motion Macchiato.
Regular readers of our blog may recall from June of last year that we loaned one of our tandems to Rachael Scdoris, a sight-impaired stoker, and her racing partner and tandem captain, Laura Winberry, for the U.S. Women’s Paralympics National Cycling Championships in Augusta, Georgia.
They secured a second place finish in the road race where it came down to a hair’s width in a sprint finish against reigning national champ pilot Mackenzie Woodring and her BVI stoker Kara Vatthauer. They missed the podium by 20 seconds with a solid 4th place in the Time Trial.
The ultimate goal of Rachael was and remains making it to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. However, to reach that goal she needs your help! With just 12-days to go before heading to this year's Paralympic Bike Trials and USA Cycling National Championship in Augusta Georgia on June 20 to the 24th, one of her funding sources fell through putting her qualification event for the London games in jeopardy.
So, she and all of her friends are reaching out to the cycling and tandem cycling community in an effort to fill the gap in her funding so that she can make the trip to Augusta.
Please take a minute to read about her quest to reach London at her Website by clicking HERE and if you can, consider making a donation to help her achieve her dream using the "Donate Link" located at the bottom of her Webpage.
We're on board... takes just a moment!
