    11 speed hubs

While everyone and his/her dog builds 10-speed cassette-capable tandem hubs, any news or rumors thereof for the 11 cog Campy or the soon-to-be-released Shimano 9500? (Just weighing options here.)

Uh, oh: "An extra sprocket out back means a new chain. It's the same width as Shimano's 10-speed chains but has a slightly shorter pitch (the distance between the chain rivets)."

I believe DA 9000 will be a disaster, but lets not get into that.

    We've been 11-speed since 2009 (53-42-30 triple with 12-29 cassette).

The hub for our 135 mm OLD spacing is the DT Swiss 240s Disc Brake. The more robust DT 350 (available in 135, 142 and 150 mm OLD) accommodates Campy 9-10-11 speed, but the DT 540 tandem (135 and 145 mm) does not.

Fulcrum makes off road wheels, and is owned by Campy. I haven't investigated, but it is more likely that their hubs would accept a Campy 11 speed cassette. They list a rider weight limit of 240 lbs, which is close to a lower weight tandem team.

By 11-cog Campy, you refer to the Athena 11-speed triple? Likely to be available in September-October.

I notice the Nokon cable. Have you had any issues with corrosion or the color rubbing off the cable where it flexes?

Bummer with regard to the hubs. The possibility of an Athena RD & cassette paired to a Veloce compact FD might just have made me want to drop the Shimano Flight Deck with a triple 9 or 10.

What disc is that on the disc brake? I've been wanting to do a HOPE disc which is what that looks like but can't determine which HOPE 203mm disc to use.

Doesn't Campy 11 fit on any recent 10speed Campy hub?
