Take-A-Seat on Universal Sports Network... A tandem-centric adventure series
I received a note out of the blue from Jared Abrams, a cinematographer who has been working on a project related to tandem cycling. He went on to let me know the series is called “Take A Seat” and it will begin to air on NBC Universal Sports Oct 1st at 8:00 p.m. est. From his note, “The premise of the show is about a man who rides a tandem bicycle through Egypt, meeting strangers and asking them to help him peddle to his destination.”
Interestingly enough, Dominic Gill’s name was not new to us. We discovered Dominic back in 2008 after he had completed a similar tour and posted out the following item with a link to a news item and his early website.
You can find additional details, background and links to trailers & other video's at our blog:

No commercial interest, just looks like it will be interesting and cast the tandem bike in a very interesting role. BTW, Dominic's tandem of choice for this adventure was a Co-Motion PeriScope... perfect for making adjustments to accommodate a wide range of stokers, eh??

thanks, I just programmed my DVR for this show , it's called "Take a seat -Egypt." I notice that at 9:30pm the same night also airing is another one called "Take a Seat- Sharing a ride across America" .
I'll record both.

Wow that sounds really interesting. Anyone got a way of getting me a copy of the series since I highly doubt we'll get to see it down under!

There is a book by the same name my stoker read. He went from Alaska to Argentina I believe. She liked it, and it must be the same guy. Great idea, thank you for the heads up.
