Florida bound

Heading to Frostproof, Fla. 2-15-13 for 6 or 7 weeks. Looking for other tandem couples to bike with or clubs in the area.

Here's a place to start looking. Not sure on your exact time frame, but Sebring is in March.

hehe! Not a lot of info, huh? PMK if you intended to link to something, it didn't come thru. Artmo, Frostproof is not an adjective describing our great state, but a noun. An actual place!

Charlie, the Sebring Rally info is here. I'm guessing Sebring is only about a half hour away from Frostproof.

The Rally is put on by the PANTHER'S Tandem Club, which is the only active tandem club in Florida. Based in The Villages, they have weekly rides, but would be some 2 hours north of you.

Sebring does have a bike club, the Highlands Pedalers. Here's the link. Also, might want to check Meetups.com for Frostproof rides.

Hope some of that helps.

Florida has a little frost . . . occasionally; Frostproof is a town.
Enjoy the sunshine/warmth.
Did the Sebring rally a couple decades ago; fun and great riding at that time.
Enjoy the ride TWOgether!

Don't! I'm a Tampa Bay native, and we have a "Bay News 9" channel on our cable network. They only cover the surrounding 7 counties, but at least weekly they'll start talking about some town or other I've never heard of!

"Dover"? I thought that was in Delaware! "Fish Hawk", Florida? Really? But then it must have gotten too big, so they split up into "Fish Hawk" and "Fish Hawk Ranch"! And there's a Boyette, a Buckhorn, and Wimauma, (Pronounced "Why, Mama?" I love that one.)!

After all these years, if I hadn't heard their names on the weather report, I'd never have known they were there, and I STILL don't know where some of them are!
