Fuji Absolute 4.2 tandem

Hi guys,

In Oz, tandems seem to be slim pickings, so I would appreciate your educated thoughts on this Fuji.

I know it's entry level, from Taiwan and not expensive, but I've got the components to upgrade it to 105/Ultegra and road drops.

Is the carbon fibre fork with Vbrakes up to the mark?
Are the Fuji branded hubs any good?
Is the frame any good?

As a mature age student with part time employment I can't afford a high spec tandem right now, but would this one be , with my mods, up to some serious riding?

Thanks

Did you get the Fuji, and if so, how does it fare? Can you post any pictures?

We are looking at similar, to complement the T200.

WPH, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer. Besides this being a long dead thread, after being a prolific contributor for a while Stevegor hasn't posted here since January of 2011.

My wife and I rode a Fuji Absolute 4.2 back in May of 2012. We were not very impressed. You can read about our ride Here.

We decided to keep looking and eventually found a 1999 Cannondale that we like a lot.
