Durable tandem

Pinion Gear box. Not light but an interesting technology. 18 gears with 11-12% cahnge between each.

From FAQ page:

Is it possible to use the P1.18 gearbox transmission in a tandem?

A tandem-specific version of the P1.18 gearbox is currently being tested.

I think the Specialized Shiv tandem ostensibly has a gearbox and shaft in lieu of a sync belt, ergo, shaft drive.

Those are some interesting dummy stoker levers.

It appears they took some old Shimano shifters and wrapped them fiber then painted. I guess they could do anything with a bike that will never be ridden.
