Santana rally's seem to be on the expensive side, but accommodations seem to be top notch. Has anyone attended a Santana Rally and are they worth the money they are asking?
We are thinking about attending their Frank Loyd Wright Rally that begins directly after the Midwest Tandem Rally ends.
We have been on one Santana tour two years ago and are doing another this summer. Yes they are more expensive than other bike tour companies but they are Five Star ++. For me it is worth the extra cost. They go overboard to make it the most pleasant vacation possible.

We agree with apage, they are first rate, so if you want a treat, go for it.
We have now done six Santana tours and rallies and two more booked and have never had a bad experience. They do a great job. If anything they sometimes pack to much in so you need a vacation from the vacation. The accommodations are always first rate and included meals are well done. Most of their tours sell out in a few days strictly from repeat customers. They don't exactly cottle you on the rides and expect you to be self sufficient on the bike and take care your basic bike needs but they always have a mechanic available for major problems. On all the european trips etc they now only use GPS routing which is a great way to do the rides. Bill is able to deal with challenges quite well, for example, we and 74 other couples did a trip on the coast of Spain and Portugal that involved a small ocean cruise ship. For reasons out of his control the ship could not get to the dock one afternoon after a long day of riding so he rented a tent from a local port bar and slept with about a half million dollars worth of tandems after we got shuttled out to the boat. The next morning hired two semi's to take the bikes to the next port. They don't care what brand of tandem you ride. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Thanks for everyone's input, we have signed up for the rally!
