Ready for ETR 2013?
Can't wait for the rally next week! It'll be our first. We have barely ever ridden with any other tandems. From time to time we've ridden with singles, and find it a chore -- tricky to stay in a line when speeds are inconsistent, getting boxed in on descents, working uphill, then riding the brakes on the flats, etc. So it will be a fun experience. We plan to do the longer ride options, arriving for Friday.
Our kids think the whole idea is pretty geeky. Oh well. Abram & Leigh |
This will be our second ETR. I think you will enjoy riding with other tandems!
|
We will be there, too. Look for us on a silver / black fade Macchiato. We actually enjoy riding with singles and do almost all of our riding that way. Can't wait to ride with Tandems again, but we'll need to make a some adjustments. Joe and Kathy

We'll be on our blue Co-Motion Speedster

ETR?
New here. Trying to understand the language and secret handshakes. Lou... |

Be careful, have fun. No wheel overlap. They go down in a heap.

Overheard at ETR:
"we're new to this, only had the tandem for a month." "Oh, you're really new, that's why your jerseys don't match!" |

And whoever said that New Jersey was flat is a LIAR! <grin>

Love to see pictures from the event! We were hoping to go but had a conflict. A funny side note, we have been seeing a tandem riding through our neighborhood but have never been able to connect with who ever it is. We saw that a team from Mount Joy PA were registered now I'm guessing that is the phantom team in question. I hope to find out who they are one of these days. We have a new 55 development in our area and I'm guessing they have moved in recently. If anyone knows who they are we'd love a name! :-)

Great pics. Very representative of the weekend! That's Kathy and I in the 4th pic - we are on the right in the Essex County Velo (EVC) Kits.
