Burley vs. Trek T 1000

Hi,

My wife and I do a lot of biking together and are thinking of buying our first tandem. The two models we are looking at are the Burely duet and the Trek T 1000. They are similar in price. ( the Burley is a little cheaper). Any reccomendatations?
Thanks

Do you have the ability to test ride both bikes? If so, that would be the most critical thing you could do.
