The above quote comes from another thread concerning Tag along or trail a bikes etc.

I don't plan to use one on my Aegis but I had planned to with our Cannondale RT3000. Does anyone have information concerning this non-recommendation?

I'm sure you've asked him to elaborate so sit tight. It could be something as simple as a bias against using tag alongs with skinny tire 700c bikes.

Then again, it could depend on which model(s) of tag along you're considering, e.g., Burley's Piccolo which mounts to a rack -- and there are some installation issues with certain brake set-ups, i.e., V-brakes --, Adams, Trek, etc....

In general, I've seen countless numbers of tag-alongs behind tandems and I can't for the life of me figure out why a Cannondale would present any unique issues beyond some of the same "technical challenges" that need to sometimes be overcome with racks or the u-joints on seat-post mounted trail-a-bikes.

Heck, they even get tagged onto triplets...

Have literally seen hundreds of tag-a-longs and trailers on l-o-n-g multi-seaters at tandem rallies.
Even saw a tandem with tag-along, then trailer attached to tag-along . . . a real choo-choo train!

I was seriously considering attaching a BOB to the Tag-along. I imagine the Burley configuration for that "Train" might be better than a seatpost setup.

Yes, the Burley configuration (with their Moose rack) tracks 100%, unlike other tag-alongs setups. A great product!
