    Tandem Cover

Next month when we go down to the Southwest Tandem Rally, we will take our bumper pull camper. When traveling with the camper, we put the tandem inside until we arrive at the RV park. Then we secure the tandem to the rear bumper so we have room inside the camper. The last vacation we took with the camper and tandem, it rained a few times and the tandem got drenched with rain at the RV park. So Iím looking for a tandem cover to keep the rain or dew off the tandem when itís secured to the back of the camper. Any suggestions?

I picked up a cover for a motorcycle at an auto parts store. Make sure you know your bike's measurements so you can get the right size. This was a few years back, but I think I spent about $20-25.00.

I've seen lots of potential motorcycle covers posted on Amazon, AutoZone, etc, but never pulled the trigger and ended up using our travel assembly tarp (Walmart) as a cover.

I'm curious if there is a particular motorcycle style/size that would best fit a tandem (TandemGeek or other motor heads, this is up your alley)?

Plastic drop cloth used to cover stuff when you are painting should work fine and be more reasonably priced.
May not be as durable, but how often to you need to use it?
In a pinch you could also lay the tandem down 'under' your camper if necessary.

We bought an XL motorcycle cover for about $62 delivered. After reading the reviews I bought a heavy duty model that is supposed to be more rain resistant. We just got back from the South West Tandem Rally and it worked great. It has elastic around the bottom so it wraps around the wheels and it even has a lock so it won't blow away or get stolen quite as easily. It rained quite a lot one night and the bike stayed nice and dry, but even when it didn't rain, I liked the idea that the bike was covered and not visible. Here's the link to what we bought.
