Lake Jackson/Houston Bike clubs?

Hello,
I'm new to biking, but am absolutely loving it!
Are there any casual bike clubs in the Lake Jackson Tx or southern Houston area? (Pearland, Sugarland, Pasadena, Texas City, League City, ect.) I would love to meet people who share this new found passion of mine!
I will say that I am very much a newbie. (10-15 miles a day, average 10-12mph) I have been biking now for about two weeks. All I have is a MTB/all around Mongoose SX 4.3.

Send me an email if you're ever in Houston. I would be happy to ride with you. I ride 15 to 20 miles almost every day and a little more than 20 miles on weekends. I generally try to average between 13 and 14 mph on a fairly flat surface (sometimes a little faster). If you're familiar with Terry Hershey Park, I sometimes can do 16 to 17 mph. because of the hills.

I will definitely do that. I still need to get a bike rack for my car. (Kinda limited in range because of that)
But as soon as I do, I would love to get up to Houston.

Sounds good. If you're on a MTB, then Hershey Park would be a fun place for you to ride. I do stay on concrete or asphalt. I'm 61 and not as agile as a 20 or 30 year old. White oak Park as a great concrete concrete bike path that is in excellent condition (much better than Hershey Park) but might be harder to ride with a MTB because the underpasses are longer. Feel free to call me on my cell 832-754-6160. I would be more available on the weekends. I ride during the week at the end of my street in a vacant hospital parking lot where a hospital was torn down. It's just real convenient for me and I get get my 15 to 20 mile cardio ride done. I work at home drafting remodeling plans so I can generally make time in the mornings. I rest a day or sometimes two every 6 to 7 days.
