I won't be at this ride, I figure for the time spent traveling there and back I could get 2 good workouts in.
Enjoy and post a ride report.

Fair enough, guess I enjoy getting out and riding new places outside the city more than just getting in 'another workout'. I'll be sure to take photos and post the ride review when I get back.

Well, TheCahill is ditching me to sleep in next weekend, and therefore I have a spare seat and bike rack spot open in my truck heading for Sulphur Springs next weekend for the 44mi route. Jsharr has first dibs on it, but if anyone else wants to call a second dibs on the seat PM me asap. I'll be departing from near Richardson Bike Mart (Richardson Location) Saturday morning for the ride. If you are near by I can pick you up, else meet me here.

Sounds like a plan Jeff. PBA afternoon distance builder ride then? Ride rolls at 1:45, I can pick you up if you'd like.

Just signed up so I'm definitely riding. That is, of course, if the cleaners can get these stains out of my gimp suit. No way am I riding without that. And, judging from my riding this weekend, I'll (slowly) be doing the 41 mile ride. I don't think my legs have it in 'em yet to do anything more difficult.

There was a discussion among some of the PACC members today about this ride. We are debating going up for this ride to do the 66 mile option. Our plan is to do it at race pace for the money

After yesterday's ride, all I'm going to be good for is the 44 at a moderate pace. Waiting to hear if jsharr is still in or not.
Kevin, if you head out for the race, good luck with it to you and all the PACC riders.
edit: here's the profile for the 44mi ride: https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=783870

I will see you all there. I have decided to do the 41 mile option while riding with the 4 and 5 year olds. My wife, dad and grandad (87 y/o) will be riding with us. I am sure we will be easy to spot but I know we will be behind the rest of you. I plan to have a private SAG truck to pick up the kids at mile 25 or so when they are tired and then I will ride my single. My plan is to get the gets back on at the rest stop 4 miles out so they can come across the line. We have all been riding several years but this will be the first time all 4 generations will get to ride together. I am hoping for great weather. I am driving from Houston on Friday and staying with family. It is one of my favorite rides in the area.

Aggie_grad, hope to see you out there. I plan to wear my yellow/blue BikeForums jersey, and be riding the Gazelle. Shouldn't be too hard to spot, but if anyone wants my cellphone for pre-ride meeting PM me.

I'll keep my eyes open.
Kevin, dl613, either of you doing the race?

It's going to be a last minute decision for me and the others that I may attend it with. We probably won't know for sure until Friday night.

Rocky Mount stage race this weekend if I can find a hotel or just my usual training, no rally for me. Enjoy and post some pics.

Ok. Sounds good. I'm still waiting to hear if Jsharr is going to make it out with me. Hoping I'm not rolling solo on this one. If I end up going solo, I'd be tempted to take the Flyte and see what kind of speed I can do, but rather not really push it till I get my new shoes and a proper cleat fitting to keep from screwing up a knee half way through the day.

Don't remember the layout of the location very well. Believe it was a school or big center of some sort with a large parking lot. I won't be too hard to miss, I'll be wearing the bright yellow BikeForums jersey, looking something very close to this:

aggie_grad and explody pup, great meeting both of you this morning. Great ride, weather was quite good though that last stretch back into Sulphur Springs into the wind was a bit of a beat down. I'll get a full write up of the ride after I rest up a bit.

41,590 pedal revolutions, give or take a few percent. I was geared a little low but that ended up helping with that headwind at the end (thanks for letting me suck your wheel, Jon!). All in all, a good first longish ride on the new build.
I had a good time riding with you. If there's any other big ride comming up, I'll try to get down. Schedule is getting iffy as the year progresses, though, so who knows. I'm almost definite on the HH100.
