Figure if the building is shaking, we wouldn't notice it so much if we all were too! Still raining hard here, thunder moving in and out. Glad I brought my lunch today!

My wife left her 16th floor office in the Galleria because the windows were bowing in and out. She says she has never seen that happen and she has been with company almost 20 years. Maybe you should take her some coffee.

Sigh...sitting here at my desk looking at my trusty Roubaix which I actually brought in with me today. Guess she won't be getting out for that lunch ride after all.

jsharr - she must have been on the windward side of the building. We went down to the 3rd level and watched the wind swirl in the little garden/patio section between the office building and parking garage. Seriously crazy looking stuff. I heard there are trees down along Noel.

she is the tower that has that garden and her window looks out at some highrise condo building like Verano or somesuch.

Jsharr, how's the construction of the ark coming along? I will be bringing two asses and two chickens. I could also bring two cats and two dogs as well, although my cats and dogs are neutered/spayed so what would be the point?!? I guess we could eat them if it gets rough out there on the high seas.

Then she probably is in Tower 2 with me, just a few floors below. I can see that same condo building so she must be on the same side. It was crazy to see the winds swirl around the building. I could see sheets of rain blowing by the sides of the building, but nothing on the glass till it really moved in.

All I hear jsharr building with is stone, if he's making an ark out of that, he's going to need more than a few animals to keep it afloat!

ark v2.0 turned into pavestone courtyard v1.0. when it is done, assuming we don't all float away or drown, bring the herd by for a beer or somesuch.

excavation completed on paved courtyard v1.0. Rain kind of ruined my plans to do backfill with paver base this morning. Afternoon is filled with 6 year old birthday parties, etc.

I actually saw the sun yesterday. . . it was weird.
Of course my lawn went into overdrive, lots of water sunlight = 8 inch tall grass in 1 day.

hopefully I can get some bike time in today.
if not the rest of the week looks promising (and a good warm up for HHH ).

wife reported hail at home (frisco).
I'm about a mile (more or LESS) from DFW so we are getting
hammered.

The good news is that I did get a ride in at lunch today. . .

We had pea size hail yesterday morning over here in Keller.....nothing so far. I haven't been on my bike since the ride from TMS a couple of weeks ago : ( I'm off tomorrow so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no rain.

I looked at current radar, there's nothing in the surrounding counties. The clouds this morning sure looked promising, though.

Much like Tawny Kitaen on the hood of a car, here we go again. More rain in time to wash out a weekend of rides. I have had a bad week of flat tires so I have been itching to get out .

safe travels to Cuda, Kevin, George, and all others going out to Italy. Hopefully you guys can dodge the rain and get a good ride in. Jsharr, swing the Ark by my place, we will go on a three hour tour.

I'm taking my "safety" goggles with me to Italy. I HATE riding with rain on my glasses. Ugly things, clear plastic, sort of like Little Old Man sunglasses that fit over regular glasses. NOT fashionable
