Why do I hate my bike?

So I have only had my bike for a couple weeks now and I feel like I have been being to hard on it. I have fallen over a couple times and scratched up my left brifter, I have bunny hopped a couple times and I dont know how bad that is for it and then tonight I decided to be an idiot. I was out riding around with my fiance and all the sudden we were talking about trackstanding and wheelies and stuff. I had never tried a wheelie so being the stupid person I am I decided to try one. Almost had it once and then of course I ate it, messing up my self and possibly my bike (didnt see any damage). I dont know what is wrong with me. Why do I hate my bike so much?

kylen721, it seems to me that you like your bike. You have been riding it and having fun on it. I don't get why you would hate your bike. Bikes actually beg to be ridden and abused. Both your bike and your body thank you (unless you wreck). If you wreck, you should be mad at yourself, not your bike.

I hope there was no major damage to you or your bike, but keep having fun.

so far really I have not done anything to bad, just the scraped up brifter. I just feel wierd spending that much money on that I put through so much stuff haha. I do love riding it though, and so far I have done a good job of not wrecking. Two scary moments so far both hitting something while leaned over in a turn. Both times I thought for sure I was going down, and both times I somehow saved it. I guess I just dont know how much these bikes can withstand making me want to baby it, but instead I just ride it like i stole it

Sounds like a pedal strike, where your inside foot is down or peddling in a turn and the pedal strikes the pavement because of the bicycle lean. Put your outside foot down in a turn. To carve a corner put all of your bodies weight on the outside foot and outside handlebar, cut deep and it feels like your bike is on rails.

Wheelies and bunny hops? Sounds like you need an MTB, not a roadie.
