first full suspension

looking for any suggestions on a good handling xc. that can take the abuse and the drops of a all-mountain.i guess im looking for a 2 in 1 bike. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO, either the Stumpy FSR or C-dale's Prophet would be a good start.
