Weekend weather?
Could there have been a more perfect early February day than Saturday? Hope everyone got a chance to get out and ride. We did the FWBA/Lone Star Cyclists ride from the Arlington Bikes Inc. More than 70 riders there. We did the shorter 35 mile route on the tandem. A great day!

Saturday sucked, thunderstorms and wind but I still rode. Today, Sunday, 180 degree difference. Bright blue skies, sunshine with some breeze. Great day.

Today was amazing. I'm 1 millions percent happy that at 11 PM last night, in the middle of torrential downpours, I decided to do today's Wild West End ride out in Rosenberg. It was heavenly, except for 4 miles into a strong headwind.

Great day to ride. Go from urban to rural around here and that breeze turns into a headwind, doesn't it?

yesterday was brutish....a wet 50 in the early afternoon so I dressed minimally and got caught in the freezing downpour a couple hours later
today more than made up for it, though, even if I did bonk in the middle of rural mesquite

Anyone who had a bike in their garage pulled it out today. Everyone knows that.
