Doral Tesora Hotel
I have a conference up at the Doral Tesora Hotel in mid-march and am wondering 2 things...
1) are there any good group rides in that area
2) is the access to any kind of bike trail/path close by if I bring my bike up from houston (road bike)
thanks!

Actually you are right across the street from Texas Motor Speedway, which is where allot of us roadies train. The road around the speedway is exactly 5.2 miles circle loop and since it is inside the TMS limits there are very few cars, so you can go there and through down some good laps for training. The terrain is mostly flat, but there is a long slight down hill and a little slight uphill. It's not uncommon to go out there on a evening during the week and see anywhere up to 30 riders all at different paces.

Where is this wonderful Motor Speedway you speak of? That sounds awesome.

Isn't Texas Motor Speedway the one up north of Fort Worth off I-35 and 114?

Yep it's the same Texas Motor Speedway they race Nascar at. You can go up there at anytime any day, when you get there park behind the gift shop near the dirt track. I have been up there from anytime like 5 am to sometimes when it's getting dark in the evening and most of the time there is always some other riders up there.
