To all the lady riders at White Rock Lake lately

Thank you!

It sure is nice seeing more ladies on bikes these days. Last couple of times I've been to WRL there has been a group of a dozen or more ladies out, looking gorgeous and riding well.

this thread is worthless without pics...

Yu ever run into the black gentleman that has a picture of his wife (nude) hanging off the back of his seat? She's a stripper. And hot.

Not being psychic, it's hard to say, but those ladies might just prefer you didn't notice 'em.

I saw that dude but I seem to recall he's a white guy. At first I thought it was some kind of home made fender or a mud flap. Wild.

I had to join the forum when I saw this... Because this guy is my neighbor!! The first time I saw the little photo hanging from his bike, I laughed pretty hard... He is not black, he is very tan though. His wife is from Nepal, I'm not so sure she is a stripper, but I don't know for sure?? He also is out there on his roller skiis and poles quite a bit.... only wears tiny running shorts and no shirt... this is what he walks his dog in as well. Most all the neighbors know him!! Anyway they are both very nice, just a little eccentric.

Well hey, hook a brother up, will ya?

On a serious note, I'd love to pedal up and chat up all the ladies I see, but I'm well aware a lot of them are married / taken and anyway they're in for a workout, not a hookup.

Just wanted them to know they are appreciated though.

And for the pic requesters:

I rode thousands of laps around White Rock in the late 1970's, 10 miles a lap as I recall. Very few riders then, just a few fellow college aged racers in wool shorts and jerseys, and we would sprint on the west side just before Mockingbird. Seems like a fast lap was something under 24 minutes? Those were the good old days...

Yeah before they put up all the barricades and the pavement degraded, you could really haul booty all the way around.

Still can I guess, I see the fast groups out there doing laps but IMO it's way too crowded with all kinds of riders, joggers, walkers, rollerbladers, and they've re-done the roads / bike trail so that you have no choice but to share a 10 foot trail and therefore get slowed frequently.

Hey Merlin55, are you still in the area? I bet we know a few of the same guys; I started in the early 80's but guys like Kevin Bucy and Jerry Anderson are still around.
