Austin: Bicycle Sports Shop's "Tres Burritos" ride...7/21/12

I'm thinking of doing this...I like the idea that they're raising money to help encourage kids to ride to school. I'll do the 65 mile "Go the Distance" route.

I found a route on MapMyRide from last year...it showed the route went out to Liberty Hill from RR Blvd then returned through Andice. I haven't see a map for this year but that makes it more interesting to me...I don't get over to Liberty Hill much. I'd prefer doing that than continuing up to Florence.

The Bicycle Sports Shop generally does a kick-ass job with their rides -- real good folks!

Did it, got the t-shirt.

Good ride with a good turn-out. I did the 65 (really 60) mile route and was with a fast paced group between about miles 10 and 50...solo the rest of the time. Support was excellent, weather was good (and hot) and post-ride food/beer was great. I was pretty wiped when I got home but felt I put in a really good effort.

I rode with the 16-19mph pace group all the way out to Andice, the extra 10 mile loop and most of the way back to BSS, the heat was getting to me after those hills

I loved that 10 mile loop, some of those turns and hills were a blast to ride!

and that beer went straight to me head when i got back.. i was beat!
