12-18-08: GONE, NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I have a 62cm Long Haul Trucker, complete, stock, from May of 2008. It was my reintroduction to biking after a hiatus of two decades. When I bought it, it was just right: languid, comfortable, predictable. Now, 2300 miles later (1600 on the LHT) a few things have changed. First off, I'm possessed by the vintage bike bug, effectively excluding the Surly from my field of interest. Secondly, I'm in far better shape at this point, and enjoy riding faster than this touring setup allows. So, the Trucker will be up for grabs, minus the Brooks B-17.

If you want to trade your 65cm road bike or frameset for this one, let me know what you got.

I have a new-in-box brooks b17 standard....honey with black rails. I'll trade for a new b17 narrow. Fat chance, I know, but what the hell.

I also have a new set of dura ace barend shifters (9speed) that I'll trade, + some cash, for a nice set of tiagra brifters.

not quite a touring bike but maybe someone wants something sportier...im trying to go the opposite myself

HAVE: Lightspeed Classic frame (54cm i think...can measure if your interested) with Easton EC 90 fork.

Also have it built up with older 7 spd rsx/105 mix components that can be thrown in if wanted for some strange reason.

WANT: Im trying to build a crossbike so whatever can get me close and is a reasonable trade. Open to the idea of either a racy cross bike or even a steel cross/everything kinda bike, either would work for me in a 54ish top tube.

can take pics if interested

Have:
Long haul trucker, frame size 56cm. Stock as it comes from Surly as a complete bike. Only has about 600 miles on it. Some very small scuffs in the paint.

Want:
Same thing, only 58cm frame. Would be willing to take all or most of the components off and trade just frame/fork sets, if you've got your own build, or something.

I'd be willing to trade for one that has more miles on it, as long as it's undamaged. I don't mind cosmetic damage much. Just picked up the wrong size, I guess, and am hoping someone else out there did the same! If you have any offers or questions, please pm me.

Thanks! I'll post pictures soon.

Have: 175 mm Sugino XD600 Crank.

Want: 170mm Sugino XD600 Crank.

Would actually like to trade the arms only. These came off a LHT that I wrecked, though the crank is fine and is now doing duty on my old Iron Horse rigid fork MTB. I have just been on a fixie for a few months and like the shorter crank arms a lot better. Will try to post pics if you are interested.

thanks

campy front rack

I am looking for a smaller front silver front rack to kind of match silver blackburn rear rake. What does the campy look like. I don't like the big racks as I have one on my expedition bike and never needed that much meat. I commute back and forth to work and need to get my touring bike fixed as it knocks off 15-20 minutes each way (26 miles each way). I carry about 40 lbs of gear (total) when I work my 24's as a paramedic. (food, 2 uni's and now winter cloths)

For Trade

I have a size large Cannondale Super V 900 full suspension mountain bike frame that I bought new in 1996. It is too small for me and does not have many miles on it. I would like to trade it for a 23" (large) non suspended mountain bike frame similar to a Trek 950 or the like. If interested please PM me. Thanks, Rich

hello, someone who got a Touring/hybrid bike for my friend, he lives in Sweden. He's 185cm long. Most preferred, the Surly LHT, Marin Muirwood, Randonee, Thorn Sherpa or other alternative.
Write to me about your bike!

Long-reach brakes, Mavic seatpost, Open Pro wheelset

Have:

Shimano R600 long-reach caliper brakes, 47-57 mm reach, brand new. I bought these brakes a while ago anticipating a build for a new commuter bike, but the frame I ended up getting requires canti brakes. So I need to swap (or sell) the R600s. Send me a PM if interested. These brakes are perfect for frames such as the Salsa Casseroll, Soma Smoothie or Rivendell Bleriot that are designed to handle larger tires and fenders. These are the finest long-reach brakes that I am aware of, Ultegra level quality.

Mavic Open Pro wheels with Ultegra 9-speed hubs, 32 spoke pattern. Wheels were re-spoked about 2-3 years ago and ridden very little since then. The rims are an unusual blue-gray color, but not CDs. Skewers included.

Sold the Mavic seatpost.

Need:

Nitto rack, front and rear -- M12, R14, R15, Mark's rack or similar models. Or a decent-quality, silver rear rack with mount for tail-light.

Silver, 27.0 seatpost of decent quality. Post length not important, but I only need about 210-250 mm.

Nitto Deluxe stem, 10 cm reach w/ 26.0 clamp. The Deluxe model has a quill about 10-11 cm long from the top of the stem to the insertion mark.

Ultegra Octalink bottom bracket for 9-speed double, English thread.

Have:
Surly Front Nice Rack GONE
Shimano SH-R215 Road Shoes size 44.5 US 10.5
Used for one road season. Aside for cosmetic scuffing on the carbon soles, they are in great condition. I am no longer into road cycling, now touring, so I didn't have a reason to hold onto to them.

Time RXE road pedals (with cleats)
I used these for one season also. The front on one pedal has a plastic corner that came off, however they still function perfectly. The cafe cleats are in excellent condition and have a non-slip surface on them.

Want:
Tubus Tara Rack
Selle San Marco Regal

Thanks!
