Do you have a route to cross the Appalachians in Georgia, South Carolina, or North Carolina?

In 2007 I did this tour route. I started from my home in SC, up & back on the Blue Ridge Parkway and then back around to home. My routes are a mixed bag of country roads and connectors. I'm into exploration and adventure so they are not necessarily certified in any way. That tour was my re-introduction to touring and I enjoyed it immensely.

That's a pretty broad question. Where are you headed? Going from Charleston to one of Birmingham, Nashville, Lexington -- that's three corridors with (at least) three different answers.

True. Also you don't say what kind of route you are looking for. Is seeing some of the mountains part of the goal or are you looking for the flattest route? If the latter you could skirt the Appalachians to the south.
