Cycling jerseys vs Military polyester T-Shirts?

Cycling Jerseys vs Military polyester T-Shirts???

why is cycling jersey so expensive to buy???

I am using Military polyester T-Shirts (XL) in Sand Tan, Olive Green from uscav(dot)com from $8.99 to $12.99 the fit is just right and I got two three feet please cycling jerseys XXL at 2x $69.99= $139.98 in 6/2013 fit is to tight to wear when cycling and I am getting more military T-Shirts 12 at $8.99=$107.88 and cycling are not cheap to buy and since I living on SSI and SSDI and I am looking at Zoic jerseys I hope they will fit me fine and I see rich yuppies on racing bike and I am always near homeless people at free meal centers
and I am using Aero tech designs baggy touring shorts and Aero tech designs padded gel touring shorts

A standard poly t-shirt is not the same thing as a sports version, though the sports versions are ridiculously expensive. They used to sell poly dress shirts also, and poly suits, not the same stuff as far as the yarns and how they work out. Surprised the military uses poly, not nice stuff to burn onto your body.

I find that a cycling jersey with back pockets is useful as it makes getting to snacks, your phone and maybe an extra water bottle very easy. I take a Techwick zipp T to wear off the bike.

Do you not like the shirts you are using?

If you are asking what the benefit(s) are to a jersey over a regular wicking shirt, the zipper in the front and the pockets in the back. I really don't like the pockets in the back and I have other places to put my stuff. The zipper is good sometimes, but I really just like wearing a microfiber tee or collared shirt.

If you have more time than $, I suggest thrift shops. I have scored a few very nice breathable, high performance good looking shirts (Dr-Fit Nike PGA Tour for example) there for $5-$7.

So you like what you are using. Then what's your question or point that you are trying to make?

Dear Abby.

I like X. Other people like Y. I'll make a vaguely insulting generalization about them. Should I keep using X?

I've bought new jersey on Ebay for US$10. I think you can get cheap/fake
jerseys from multiple chinese mail order companies. Lots of (cheaper)choices.
Try used or new on Craigslist, too.

You X people keep oppressing me and my Y brethren. If I ever find you in person I will stand at a safe distance, call out a mild insult, then walk briskly away.

OK so your points are that you don't like cycling jerseys, and only yuppies would plunk down that much cash for something so obviously overpriced for what it is. And you don't want to associate with such individuals.

I take the point of view that I will associate with "jersey wearing yuppies" (although I would not categorize all jersey wearing cyclists as "yuppies"), homeless people or anyone who I share the road, trail, bikeway or campsite with.

You are not going to garner any respect from anyone on this site by admonishing other users of this site, especially in the untrue and unfair way you have done above.

Anyone interested in a bridge in Brooklyn? I'll let you have it for $8.99. $11.99 including tax, title and license fees.
