Slow Rider
A friend and I bike camped in the Jim Timmerman Natural Resources Area at Jocassee Gorges in South Carolina. Here's a view from Jumping-off-rock overlooking Lake Jocassee. For those interested, the forest service roads in this area have very steep grades with some in excess of 35%. Very difficult riding here especially when hauling gear. For those who like bikepacking difficult areas, this is a nice spot.

Find the ones with the burn time and brightness you need. I couple their Diablo on the head with the Revo (dyno) on the bars. I'd get a larger one of theirs if I ever needed another battery light. The lights can have their programs adjusted so you can pick a run time and brighteness that works for your riding. So my Diablo is tuned for 3,10,24 hours right now - if I wanted full brightness I could set it for full brightness and 1,3,6 hours.

@mdilthey: Light and Motion all the way. Awesome lights, customer service, quality and they are MUSA! The Commuter Combos (front and rear in different lumens) would probably be your best bet but if you need some extra brightness the Taz lights go up to 1500 lumens (or maybe more now)
Light and Motion Trail 850 checks the most boxes, and I'll outline why I'm choosing them in case it benefits others:
[√] 850 Lumens max
[√] 6-hour burn time at 195 lumens
[√] Very fast recharge (>2.5 hours)
[√] Available at my local bike shop
[√] Made in USA

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. I appreciate it! Sorry I hijacked the thread (or did I?)

You didn't really hijack a thread and even if you did it was a thread that shouldn't have been created in the first place since we have stickied thread for just such a purpose. In fact it is literally the first thread in this section.

That's the DeSmet, is it not? I rode there in '99, '00 and '09. Camped at Sprague Creek all three times. Love downing a beer lakeside.

I also have one of my touring bikes set up with a B&M Luxos dynamo light with SP-PV8 hub in the front wheel. The Luxos has a built in port for charging accessories, but you can't charge items while the light is running. I haven't used the charge feature yet so can't provide any feedback on how well it works. I also have a B&M Toplight taillight mounted to the rear rack on that back. I secured the wiring with zip ties, which function well but do make the bike look a little more cluttered. The taillight itself works great.
The L&M Urban 850 is brighter with a more even beam than the Luxos. However, the Luxos is very convenient for commuting and plenty bright enough for my needs. It's nice not having to worry about forgetting to charge you batteries.

I highly recommend the L&M Urban 850, which is available in a fast-charge version for about $20 extra. Mine is the "slow charge" version because I use my light mainly for commuting and simply recharge it at the end of the day. My daily commute is about 2.5 hours total (including time at traffic lights), and I'm able to run the light on the second-highest setting with plenty of charge for the entire trip.

I was going to stay a Sprague, but called the hotel the night before on the off chance that they had a room and amazingly there was a cabin by the lake available so I took it. Pretty nice having a room there and carbo loading in the restaurant for "The Going to the Sun" road.

Doesn't the Trail version have an extra wide beam? I personally wouldn't want that for commuting, but it might be ideal for mountain biking. The regular Urban 850 beam is already pretty broad.

Touring bike set up to me would be a loaded rig. If you set up your touring bike you will probably have it loaded otherwise you are credit card touring and just posting a picture of your bike (nothing against that)

I don't have a pic yet, as it's being built, but I'm planning a SON 28 on the front wheel with a Sinewave Reactor hooked up. The Plug III looks good, but I prefer the Sinewave technology.

You didn't make that very clear at all since it is mostly pictures of normal touring bikes. I would have titled it "photos of your dynamo setup" or "looking for dynamo ideas", something like that.
