Novara Randonee front rack issues?

I bought a second hand, 3-5 year old Novara Randonee a while back, but am having issues finding a compatible front rack. Any variety of low rider doesn't seem to work-- the bottom mounting eyelet doesn't line up with the fork eyelet when I line up the mid-fork mounting hole with the main part of the rack. I've tried three varieties-- a blackburn new, a blackburn old, a Vetta, and a no name brand. None line up properly. I know I could mount it with the U clamps, but I'd rather use the mid fork mount for stability and permanence.

Anyone out there riding a relatively recent Randonee have one with a properly mounted front rack for suggestions?

I have a Blackburn Outpost front rack on my 2013 Randonee. I had no issues mounting it.

I have a 2014 Randonee, I have surly nice racks mounted both front and rear, no issues with installation. Side note: Was lucky having installed the Surly front rack in that the bike doesn't do well with a load mounted low up front, it get twitchy as heck, it rides great with the load mounted higher.

Nothing wrong with a rack mounted with clamps if its done correctly. My Nitto Big front rack mounts that way. I carry a good deal of weight and take it on some bumpy, unpaved roads. No problem.

Perhaps you could post a photograph in order to illustrate the issue you are having?

While P clamps work fine, if the frame has mid fork mounting brazeons, IMO it's really hack engineering to use clamps.
