I've checked some online stores, but I couldn't find any 700c wheelsets with mountain disc hubs.
Does anyone know where I can find? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

The only place ive seen them were from a place called greenfish cycles or something like that. They built up 700c wheelsets for the Redline Conquest Pro (disc version) using some hub I have never heard of. They were reasonably priced. My guess is that you will have to have some custom made. There is a guy in Texas, Joe Young, building me set of 700c Mavic CXP33 36H laced to Phil Wood disc hubs, he does amazing work. I have had him build-up several wheelsets and to date, every one has far exceeded my expectations.

Wouldn't that be cyclo-cross? I've seen them advertised with disc brakes.

A 700c rim laced to a MTB Disc Hub is a 29er wheel...Bontrager makes about 4 different models of proprietary 29er wheels (since Gary Fisher is one of the biggest proponents of 29ers)...otherwise, I agree with everyone else that the other option is a custom wheelset...(at 210 lbs, I've had pretty good luck with 36 hole XT disc hubs laced to Sun CR-18 rims on my Surly 29er...)

Thanks everyone. I will ask some bike shops in my area if they can build one for me. Bontrager wheelsets seem to be a good alternative as well.

Aside from building a custom set of wheels, there are a number of wheelsets readily available:

    1. Mavic Speedcity 700c 24H disc - about $450 and available with a Shimano or Campy freehub

    2. Velocity VXC 700c disc 32H - about $300 and all black "stealth" look

    3. Bontrager Select Disc Road 24H - about $300 but with paired spokes

    3. Cane Creek Zonos 29 28H - more expensive but super durable with all their cool patented stuff

    Hope this helps!

I just bought a Deore XT disc hub with 36 holes from Nashbar. It was 22 dollars I think, with an additional 20% off since they were having a 20% off everything sale a while back. I'm going to put it in a DH22 Alex rim they seem to hold up well under clydesdale weight. I'm going to stick with my canti rear since it seems to work fine given it only does about 20% of the stopping..

if you go to your LBS and have them look for disc 700c wheelsets in the QBP catalog, they'll have several good options for you.

Wheelhouse built QBP wheels are pretty durn good.

For the money you can't beat the Salsa Delgado rims with Shimano XT hubs that QBP sells. Speedgoat has them for $275 for the pair. Or like was previously suggested, just have your LBS order them. Basically, any 29er wheelset with disc hubs should do the job quite well.

I also got some from Nashbar some months ago......They are Deore hubs with 36 spokes laced to Mavic A119 rims.

Haven't used them yet as the project is on hold. Nashbar was selling them at $99 for the set.

I built my own 700c disc wheels using new old stock hubs, rims & spokes purchased from ebay vendors. Sun rims, Shimano XT hubs, 36 spokes each, using DT Swiss Alpine spokes.
At a recent bike show Tandems East seemed to have a good deal on Shimano XT disc hubs (I'm not sure what the spacing was on the rear).

Chucks bikes has some 700c Velocity Dyads for $265: http://www.chucksbikes.com/store/
(you might have to click on "wheels" in the left menu).

    Good luck
    Rich
