packed up

So I did a test pack up for next weeks trip.
rear panniers- 12 lb gear 3 lb panniers 15 lbs 28 L
front panniers- 8 lb gear 2 lb panniers 10 lbs 20 L
trunk for food 1 lb 10 oz 11 L ?
fleece and sit pad 1 lb.
clothes worn near 4 lbs
poles pump & ground cloth 2 lb on front rack
no handle bar bag
bicycle 30 lb w/ racks
skin out 33 lb
Total wt 280

That puts my gear below 25 lbs with bags 30 lbs

I could ditch the kitchen for close to 2 lbs
I could ditch the trunk, put the quilt on the rear rack and food in the then empty front pannier.
Warmer weather would be at least 4 lbs less.
Will continue to tweek in the future.

what about tent and sleeping bag? Sounds OK if the 25 pounds includes tent and sleeping gear.

Looks fine, although with all the Whiteblaze/UL espousing I'd have thought it'd be lighter

Anyhow you look good to go.

Did you include (assuming you're bringing): helmet & bike-lock ?

What temperatures are you expecting?
