Highway One, south of Lompoc on March 7th, 2001.
6.81" of rain the preceding two days. I ignored the "road closed" signs and was able to walk past this closure.

Thanks. Unfortunately, my two pothole puctures seem to have expired.
One was a pothole repair truck, stuck in a pothole.
The other was a pothole filled with water. In the pothole was a car. All you could see was part of the trunk and the tail lights. The rest of the car was underwater.

Not quite a pothole, but it does show that sometimes heeding the road closed sign, and not relying on a local's knowledge is the prudent thing to do.
