Specialized Sequoia - Wheelset Upgrade

Hi All,

I'm ordering the Sequoia Expert but use a lighter wheelset. I'll leave the stock wheels for longer trips where the added weight is worth it.

What is the right Specialized brand wheel to place on this bike? It appears to work with 700 or even 650b mountain wheels. I was looking at the cyclocross wheel and think the CLX 32 Disc wheels would work. I don't plan to ride with too much weight. I am 170lbs and go ultralight. Can anyone with more expertise lend advice on the right high-end specialized wheelset?

Thats a $2500 carbon low spoke wheelset.

I got nothin for ya. Just shocked at what i saw.

For what its worth, you dont need to get a specialized brand wheelset. But yeah, i got nothin for advice...that wheelset is worth more than a few of my bikes combined.

Why Specialized? There are so many better brands that you can get out there.

Industry Nine, Enve, and etc.

You might ask over in the cyclocross forum. But like Linus said.

Yeah, it's a super easy way to drop some serious weight and rotation weight at that. Not sure what the maximum load would be on a cyclocross wheel set but I bet it's not bad?

Sew Ups, even old ones were lighter ,because the tire is Glued on the rim,
it does not need the extra material that a wire bead tire and it's rim do..
