I agree use it the way it is until there's some sort of problem. No sense in making up problems. I have the same components and am happy with them. Except I did switch to brifters from the bar ends, just a personal preference. Lots of folks out there beating around on 28 spoke wheels. MTB, even tandems. They are putting more stress on their wheels than you ever will touring.
Wait until it breaks. If it breaks.
