What's the best place to sell my All City Space Horse?

i dont want to ship it, just want to be rid of it. its a great bike but with the bob jackson here it will never get ridden. also wondering what kind of price i should be asking. its a 55cm canti brake model with 10 speed tiagra and significant miles this year. close to 2000.

i am going to put the original tiagra compact crank on it and the original 32 spoke wheels. will also remove the racks, fenders and lights. any suggestions are welcome and no one will offend me no matter. just gotta make room and have never sold a bike online before.

We've sold a few higher end bicycles and used both CraigsList and the free classifieds on the Adventure Cycling Association forum. Two sold on CL and the other sold on ACA. The latter required shipping but they paid the BikeFlights fee and we only had to package it up. We considered using The Pros Closest (I think it's called?) but the bicycles sold before we did.

When buyers come to look at your bicycle make them give you a valid identification card before they test ride it! My bf's brother is an LEO and he suggested we do this to stop them from riding off and never coming back.

Love the color of your bicycle though! It's pretty

If it was a 52, I'd buy it right now.

I'm onboard with BB...Craigslist does work, but you have to wait for the right buyer. The +++ on craigslist is no fees & no shipping & ca$h pay. Always calculate the net deal. For me I always enjoy finding the right person who will truly appreciate the item I'm selling. When it feels right I might even give them a deal

Most bicycle-people are good-people I wouldn't fret this too much. It's NEVER been a concern or issue for me

Just be aware that its getting towards colder times so demand may not be as high as warmer months. Also, thats old gen Tiagra. Still perfectly nice and all, but it is old gen compared to whats out now.

Perhaps post it in STL and CHI too, just say you are in Peoria. That could help increase the pool of buyers simce some are willing to travel.

Good news is its a really popular size. Guessing without details of what it looks once in for sale condition, but maybe $600 or so? $650?
Its canti brakes, which i love and use, but mkst everytjing adventure and gravel is moving to or has moved to disc...including the space horse.

As for test riding...if they drove to your house then perhaps dont worry- they arent going to steal the thing when their car is in your driveway.

if i got 600.00 i would be thrilled. the money isnt as important as getting the bike to someone who will use it.

The best place for selling bikes in the Twin Cities is on any of several facebook gorups. I would check fb in the Peoria/Bloomington/Champaign area to see whether there is a bicycle trading group. In my experience these are MUCH better than Craigs. I've had multiple bad experiences selling on Craigs, not one on the fb sites. There's just something about a closed group where cyclists are selling to and buying from other cyclists.
