Continental Contact City/Trekking Tire

Hey folks: Just bought this tire. It's a bit pricey, mid 30.00usd, a bit slow but a very comfortable ride. I bought the 37's but now wish I had waited for 32's to be restocked. Longterm use(flats and wear) to be determined. Any one use these yet. What are your thoughts? Charlie

Well, if they have the same inards as the Travel Contact that I use (26"x1.75) then you should be happy with them.

I couldn't find the TT2000 locally so I picked the Travel Contacts up for $30 each. My current position is that I'll gladly continue to pay for them.

I've been over about 2,200 miles with that bike (loaded to 115 pounds) through some nasty debris and without a flat so far. In fact they still look new!

Here's the link to my tires at the same site you gave.
Travel Contact

Cheers

My wife has Conti Contact tires on her commuter. She has been using them all summer likes them a lot, especially since they give her decent grip on wet cobblestones. She also has 700x37, which in reality are 700x34.

BTW, I'm surprised at how expensive they were. I paid around $10 apiece for the ones I bought. Finally, a bike part that is cheaper in Europe!

Continental is German, so I'm not surprised that the Continental tires would be cheaper in Latvia.

I rode the last 2000 miles of my recent fully loaded US tour with one at the front (bought it at a small town bike shop for $22). Had no punctures and it still looks pretty new, with heaps of tread left.
