Bike box in foreign places

Hi,
I have always ended tours in fairly large towns where a bike shop and box were always available. Next year I am planning on eastern Europe and/or Turkey. I am curious what people have done to obtain a box in a city such as Istanbul or Gdansk Poland if they are flying out of such a place. Perhaps boxes are readily available but I have no idea. Probably a good time to be a Bike Friday owner!

Thanks

You'll be surprised at how advanced Eastern Europe is. Every big city has at least one bike shop, Riga, where I live has over 15 different shops. Finding a box shouldn't be a problem, just be prepared to pay for it if they ask.

Thanks for the response. Didn't mean to show my ignorance. I have no problem paying for it.
Thanks again,
Paul
